Slow Tale Time is an interactive adventure-reading platform for children aged 7 to 11, featuring the Wanderlight Chronicles — twelve mystery stories set in the coastal village of Merhaven. Readers follow five friends — Maya, Finn, Soraya, Tomas, and Bram — across a full year of seasons as they explore hidden rooms, smugglers' caves, frozen estuaries, and the old lighthouse at the edge of the sea.
Each story is hand-illustrated in a soft watercolour style and narrated aloud so children can read along at their own pace. Stories are tiered by reading difficulty — Bronze for ages 7-9, Silver for 8-10, and Gold for 9-11 — and each one ends with a comprehension quiz aligned to KS2 English objectives. A built-in night mode softens colours for bedtime, and a seasonal badge collection rewards children for exploring every tale through spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The first story — The Wanderlight Secret — is free to enjoy forever. Every additional adventure can be unlocked individually for 50p, or the whole collection of twelve stories can be unlocked at once for £4.50 — a one-time payment that lasts a lifetime. There are no subscriptions, no ads, and no in-app pressure.
Slow Tale Time is built by a small, independent team of storytellers, illustrators, and parents who believe that the best stories are the ones children return to again and again. We created Slow Tale Time because we wanted a digital storybook that feels like a real chapter book — rich, adventurous, and made with care.
